Wednesday Update

The Halloween update is here! Star Stable has added some new content from last year, like the horse masks available at the Halloween stores and spooky spider webbed tack!

Clothes and makeup are also available at the special Halloween stores and the Beauty Salons around Jorvik.

How many ghost have you found? I love the ghost quests! They're hard at first, but get easier as you figure out where they're most likely to be hiding.

Don't forget to play the cellar race! To play you need to talk Eve down below Silverglade Castle. She'll give you a test run before you can compete for a high score.

The official Star Stable post is available here: Official Story
Happy Halloween and Thanks for Reading!

Exploring the Forgotten Fields

I captured a few photos while I was exploring the Forgotten Fields on the Harvest Counties release day. I wanted to share these on the blog.

First, I spent some time riding around the Forgotten Fields, exploring the new area and I found some interesting places.

Here are a few other photos that I took while riding through the Fields.

Where in Star Stable is Maggie Lightheart? #2

So much has happened this week in Star Stable! With the release of the Harvest Counties and my growing access into Golden Hills Valley, I've had so many new places to explore and enjoy.
The Greendale Forest in the Harvest Counties with Cinnamonkiss

My horses didn't gain many levels this week... Cinnamonkiss is maxed at level 15, Rosewhisper grew to level 14,  and poor Eveningdancer is still untrained at level 3.

Me and Rosewhisper in the Goldenleaves Stables Paddock

Along with gaining access to the Harvest Counties last Wednesday, I have unlocked the Northern Iron Gate and the gate to Scarecrow Hill in Golden Hills Valley. I have earned the Golden Leaf prize from Golden Leaf Stables and have raced the Goldenleaves Forest Race.

I had a lot of fun this week and I'm looking forward to training Rosewhisper to Level 15 and beginning to train Eveningdancer.

Thanks for Reading and have fun in Star Stable!

Meet: Rosewhisper

Meet Rosewhisper, my second horse. Rosewhisper is a cremelo colored Akhal-Teke. Why is she named Rosewhisper? Because she is white colored with a "whisper" of a rosy hue in her coat.

We love galloping through the Hollow Woods together!

Here, you can really see her rose colored coat.

Her coloring can be hard to see in some light.
I use Rosewhisper as my jumping horse, as she is great at getting over those towering show jumping jumps. I ride her mostly is english saddles, but I have used my chocolate western saddle on her a few times.
She can FLY over the big show jumping jumps.

We conquer the riding arena.

Rose likes cross country jumps too!

As of now, Rosewhisper is only level 13, but I plan on training her all the way to level 15.
Thanks for Reading, and soon I'll write a profile for my 3rd horse, Eveningdancer.

The Mysterious Horse in Greendale

Me and Cinnamonkiss in the Greendale Forest.

While I was exploring the new Greendale Forest in Star Stables new update, I found this mysterious white horse roaming around in the trees.

Anyone who played the game Starshine Legacy as a kid would easily recognize this horse as Starshine himself! If you don't know Starshine, he is Lisa's horse. This will most likely be very important in the story quests.

I suggest that you find Starshine in the forest BEFORE you need to find him for quests so that you can continue into the story faster!

Harvest Counties, Wow!

A farm field inside the Harvest County.
The Harvest Counties are HUGE! Even the places I expected to be small, like Greendale and Paddock Island are bigger that they appear! Not to mention Jarlaheim, which is really easy to get lost in.

This is how bad Cinnamonkiss got before I found Jorvik Stables.
Predictably, the GED already has some sites in the Harvest Counties. I found three separate sites spread over the Counties, there may be more but that was all I found today.

As the name suggests, the Harvest Counties are full of farms, crop fields, and pastures. I really loved the bright blue color of the flower fields and the hay fields were fun to run through.
The beautiful blue flowers in the new Harvest Counties.

The sunflower fields were pretty too.
I have so many photos and so much to tell about that I can't fit it all into this post! I will do some more posts about specific areas in the Harvest Counties later, but until then, here are some more photos from today.

Wednesday Update

This weeks update was the release of the much anticipated Harvest Counties. The Counties are HUGE and there are many new factions to help out! Also, a few new shops were released, but there is a lot of room for expansion.

The closed shops in Jarlaheim give the game room to expand.

Four new horses were also released with the updates, but they are only variations on existing horse breeds.

These horses can be found on Paddock Island and next to Windmill Road.

If you still need to finish your bridge quests, you can buy the materials from the shop in the GED Construction Site in Moorland.

Get Ready for the Harvest Counties!

Tomorrow, 10/23/2013, is the grand opening of the brand new area in Star Stable, the Harvest Counties! Make sure you're ready for the unveiling by following this list:

Is the bridge done? If you've completed all of your bridge quests this week, then the bridge will be completed today! Make sure the green bar that marks the bridge's progress is completely full and light the firework that Builder Donald gives to official finish fixing up the bridge! Bridge quests are only available to Star Riders level 4 and up.

Make sure to complete your bridge quests!
Level Up! I recommend that you use your highest level horse when entering into the Harvest Counties. Why? To explore the new area faster! The faster your horse is, the faster you can reach the new content in Star Stable. Just think, the players who get there first get to experience the new area first.

Cha-ching! SAVE YOUR MONEY TODAY! The more money you have going into the Harvest Counties, the more you can buy at the new shops! I can almost guarantee that the shops in the Harvest Counties will be filled with new clothing and tack to buy! There might even be a new breed of horse released, but that's not as certain.

Dress for Success! Close to what I said before about bringing your fastest horse into the Harvest Counties, wear high level clothing when entering into the Harvest Counties so that you can be fast and access the content before other players.
Wear a high level outfit so you can be the first to dash across this finished bridge!

Location, Location, Location! Make sure you've been paying attention to what has been posted on the Star Stable news and what the characters in-game have been saying about the Harvest Counties. From What I've heard, the city Jarlaheim and the legendary Jorvik Stables are the big "highlights" of the Harvest Counties. But, Greendale and Paddock Island look interesting too. Will the forest around Greendale be like the Hollow Woods? What's in the Forgotten Fields? Will Paddock Island be the rumored island for "storing" your extra horses? Right now, only the developers know...

Have fun in the new Harvest Counties and Happy Riding!

Strange Saddle Solved!

Ever since I started playing Star Stable, I noticed that there are 3 distinct types of saddles in the game; an English saddle, a western saddle, and a strangely shaped english saddle.
English Saddle

Western Saddle

??? Saddle

The weird looking english saddle was not my favorite, and I avoided using the one I had and never bought any new ones. I strictly bought the english and western saddles. But now, I have finally figured out what the strange saddle is... it's an Australian saddle!
Here's a real Australian Saddle

I've known about australian saddles for quite a while, but it never occurred to me that there could be one in Star Stable! Now that I recognize the australian saddle, I think that I'll go buy a light brown one that I've had my eye on for a while.

Where in Star Stable is Maggie Lightheart?

Welcome to my weekly update on my personal progress in Star Stable Online.
I'm happy to announce that my horses have gained quite a few levels. Cinnamonkiss has grown from level 14 to level 15, the maximum horse level allowed at this time. Rosewhisper jumped from level 10 to level 13 but, unfortunately, Eveningdancer hasn't gained any levels, because I didn't have time to train her this week... so she gets a photo on the blog.

Poor Eveningdancer didn't get any training this week...
I also open the South Iron Gate this week and gained access into the Golden Hills Valley. I was super excited! I've been working really hard on my bridge repair quests to open the new Harvest Counties too. If you don't know about the Harvest Counties, the new area being released this Wednesday, read this news article from Star Stable. Click for Harvest Counties Info.
Here are some of this weeks highlights in photos.

Meet: Cinnamonkiss

Meet Cinnamonkiss, my first horse. She is a Jorvik Warmblood, like every first players' horse, and is chestnut with a blaze and four socks.
Maggie Lightheart with Cinnamonkiss
I use her almost exclusively as a western riding horse, because I think that the western saddles suit her better that english. Maybe later I can add some photos of her in an english saddle to let my readers decide if they like her better is western, or english.

Come back later to meet my other two horses, Rosewhisper and Eveningdancer. Until then, Thanks for Reading!
